Recently on my podcast ‘Death by Podcast’ we did a show on 1986’s Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and I learned that Jambi from Pee Wee’s Playhouse co-wrote the movie. I also learned that his real name isn’t Jambi but John Paragon. Let’s just say it was a big learning day because I was also made aware that Paragon played Cedric in Seinfeld. Who, until now, I’d only known as one of the guys that beast Kramer up over some furniture. Little did I know (which really sounds like a true statement now) that I’d been enjoying the characters of John Paragon for years outside of growing up with him on Pee Wee’s Playhouse. What a chameleon and a gem.

Long live Jambi, and enjoy the armoire.
